Job Description

The Senior Financial Analyst will provide financial support to the Southern CA Division operations team. Involved with many aspects of the Division operations including: sales, land acquisition and development, construction, customer service, and escrow / closings. This position focuses on the development and maintenance of reports/analyses for budgeting, forecasting and reporting from the Division to the Corporate Accounting and FP&A teams as well as using analytical skills to provide information to Division management to make business decisions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reports directly to the Finance Manager.
  • Develop and maintain reports for monthly forecasting and reporting as well as the annual budgeting process.
  • Involved in the month end close process, including managing the land accounting as well as reconciling / reporting monthly unit activity to Corporate FP&A.
  • Work directly with Land Acquisition and Development team to maintain development budgets and ensure compliance with SOX controls
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and Sales teams to build and to maintain current pricing strategies
  • Provide support to the Division President and Land teams as part of the land acquisition due diligence process
  • Work with Manager, FP&A to identify areas for cost savings and presenting those ideas to Division and Corporate management.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial modeling and analyses
  • Other Corporate and Division projects, as needed
